The audiovisual project The Happiness of the Senses: Wise Silence presents the surprising auditory systems of animals that have a sensory reality different from that of humans: Owls, Bats and Whales. In addition to describing the fascinating biology of these animals, we present an argument for the conservation of the living world. The program combines the point of view of both scientists and local indigenous people (Mapuche). The target audience is ages 12 to adults and the running time is approximately 26 minutes.
The project is funded by Public Science, Science and Society Division of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation (CP22-P042); The Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Center; Science On Shot; and the University of Valparaiso
